Governor Kotek, What is Wrong With You?

Kotek, I’m appalled by Your Arrogance.

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek, your time is short.

How dare you call a special session to try to pass a nearly 6 billion budget to cover your ass, and you don’t show up to hear what Oregonians want or need.

You’re nowhere to be found.

Gone.

Taking a holiday.

Forcing others to show up while you do what?

The bill goes to the House and Senate today, where it will likely pass.

Most Oregonians are against the nearly $6 billion bill.

Kotek called a special session, requiring lawmakers to show up to deal with this “Crisis” she caused by her horrible priorities and mismanagement.

There are unsubstantiated reports that she was seen in Astoria on vacation, while her minions were doing her dirty work in Salem.

Republicans found a way to cover the basic maintenance needed for the ODOT situation, without asking taxpayers for more,  but Democrats and their governor have special, feel-good projects they want funded. So, rather than listening to Oregonians, they ignored the testimony and put the price tag on the backs of the people.

What is wrong with you?

Seriously, are you that arrogant and that sure of your union money that you push forward?

Voters can send the bill to a vote of the people, recall the governor, and oust the Democrats who voted for this, if they want.

But the leadership knows, people have short-term memory and, I guess, are hedging their bets that, as they have in the past, voters will forget.

Any good leader knows you don’t ask others to do what you are not willing to do.

But Kotek is not a good leader.

Oregonians, polled, said she is the worst, but she gets enough Democrats, who refuse to think critically, to vote party line.

A good governor, who cared about the people, would have been at the session, lobbying people to her side of the fence and listening to the proposal from the opposing party.

It’s called “working together.”

But you didn’t even show up.

I think you’ve pissed off even your own party, and I hope the people of Oregon turn on you and dump your ass this next election.

Oregon has had some great Governors.

Mark Hatfield, Tom McCall, and Vic Atiyeh.

You don’t even deserve to be in the same company as these true leaders.

You and your predecessor, Kate Brown, ruined Oregon.

You’re not from here.

You don’t belong here.

You don’t understand the culture or the people.

You don’t care.

Kotek, a huge percentage of your state wants to change the boundaries of Oregon and become part of Idaho.

It’s not because they hate Oregon; it’s because you and your party voters ignore rural Oregon concerns.

They’ve asked to meet with you, and you’ve done nothing.

Yes, we know the votes are in Portland, and you don’t need rural Oregon, but can’t you just pretend?

Your arrogance will be the death of your career and a stain on Oregon for decades.

If Democrats don’t wake up, this will be the end of Oregon.

I’d like all your supporters to tell me how this is good leadership.

How is this in the best interest of the poor, whom you profess to care about?

Actions speak louder than words, and right now, Oregon is yelling, and you’re reportedly at some cute store in Astoria shopping.

Enjoy, because once you’re done, like Kate Brown, you will not be welcome back to Oregon.

History will have unkind things to say about both of you, and all you had to do to leave a visionary mark was to listen.
