A few short years or even months ago, if your ideology or beliefs didn’t line up with culture you were canceled, shunned or demonized.

You weren’t allowed to ask questions and if you did, all hell would break loose and the cultural monitors would take no prisoners.

Now, it seems we’ve got an open mic in this country and I for one think it’s about time we use it.

When you silence people, especially those who disagree with you, you get a skewed picture of reality. There are people out there who agree with the current administration and those who don’t, I think that’s healthy.

What is not healthy is censoring what people say because you don’t like it.

Trump is not a good politician. Some call him a bull in a china closet and I would agree he has those tendencies, although in the last six months it feels like someone has softened his edges.

I don’t agree with everything he says or does but even saying that is stupid because there is no one I agree with all the time, no one.

He’s put together a cabinet of team players. But they aren’t all Republicans and they certainly don’t share all ideologies with our new president. What they do agree on is that America needs an overhaul and this is the team to do that.

We finally have a cabinet of people who have balls. They are not afraid to say what they think and that seems to scare the old party loyalists to death.

Trump is a businessman not a politician. He and Musk and the rest of the crew are doing something Washington DC knows nothing about….getting things done and pushing full steam ahead.

The typical DC attitude is say you’re going to change something and then once elected blame the system for stopping you. You give up to get along. That is not productive and the American people are sick of it. The Trump team is the opposite of that.

That’s why Trump and his team get the numbers they are getting, last I saw an approval rating in the 70 percent range.

I know this scares the hell out of some of you and that’s your right, to be scared. But we’ve tried everything else and our nation just keeps slipping into the abyss.  I already see Trump opponents blasting him for changes that haven’t come yet. (economy, egg pricers, gas prices) but these are also the same people trying to slow him down by taking every other decision to the courts.

I’m tired of fighting the haters. My goal is to not address you as much and instead focus on moving us forward. I’ll still be critical of your BS but I’m going to try not to focus on it. As designed, you are wearing me out. There’s too much to do to pay attention to those working to stop the positive change simply because of hate.

At some point we have to move past the hate. Here’s a great example of the private emails I get from some of the nuts. I will edit it as not to be as nasty but it gives you a good idea of the evil we are fighting.

We can’t back down but we also, as I have been guilty of, can’t play the game with people like that.

Some hate Trump so much, they can’t see straight. I would say “I get it” but I really don’t.

I dislike a lot of politicians and think some are pushing a terrible ideology, but I don’t hate them.

The guy who wrote me that message is the extreme but we can’t allow that to push us too far in either direction.

So much is changing….in my opinion, for the better.

Let’s keep our eyes looking upward.

It is not the time to backdown.

But it is the time to look for allies.
