He Is In The Dark Cloud

When we think of darkness, we don’t often look for God in such places.
But He promises, in his word, that He is there.
Darkness can be a blindness, a place of misunderstanding, or in our minds.
I think the more time you spend in hard places (the darkness), the more you get used to it.
It is natural to want to explain things when those around you make accusations against you that are untrue.
I’ve experienced a lot of that lately.
But once you realize what is behind the dark cloud and that God will protect and guide you, the less you need to explain.
When a wild animal is caught in a trap, especially one of its own setting, it will do whatever it has to try and protect itself.
The last thing you want to do is step in.
It’s like trying to save a drowning person.
In an effort to explain yourself, you may become a victim of the beast.
Stand back.
I was listening to the Dark Horse podcast with Bret Weinstein.
He is a liberal thinker who voted for Trump and still would, but disagrees with what Trump is doing in the Middle East right now.
A week or so ago, when I stepped into the dark cloud of questioning, the wrath of speaking out against Trump in this one instance surprised me.
Many people said, “You just have to trust him and quit asking questions.”
That took me back, big time.
That’s what the Democrats did with Joe Biden, and we flogged them for it, as we should.
“Just trust him and shut up?”
Really.
Not gonna happen on my watch.
Weinstein said in the interview that if the election were today, he would still vote for Trump over a Democrat because he thinks their party is so far gone.
I agree.
But it seems we live in a world where the expectation is you either support everything or you are cast out of the conversation.
I will never buy into that lack of thought.
People are scared.
I see them on edge because we’re basically at war in the Middle East.
I think a lot of people question how we went from no wars, no regime changes, America first, to our current conflict.
Questioning doesn’t mean we are against you or Trump.
It means we are American citizens exercising our right to free speech and doing what, up until this war, was natural and healthy to the conservatives.
Now, the questioners are treated like the scourge.
I know many of you will poo-poo the interview.
You’ll find reasons to discredit it without at least looking at it.
Our culture is more about tribalism than it is investigation.
Our world is in trouble.
I think there is something deeper and darker at work behind the scenes.
I think Trump now understands what that power is and who is behind it.
It doesn’t mean he’s weak if he succumbed to bad counsel, misinformation, or just evil.
It means he’s human.
I pray he, once again, bucks the system, risks everything, and exposes the truth.
That’s what we admire about this man.
In my opinion, he needs to find that edge and go with it.
We don’t need a war in the Middle East; we need a war with the deep, dark dealings of corruption steering the ship in the wrong direction.
Yes, the world is a dark place right now.
But God promises He is the light in even the darkest places.
