Do You Hear What I Hear?

Whom Does God Say You Are?

ree

People will try to define us, box us in, and control us, so we must constantly be asking God, “How do you see me?”

I can tell when I hit a nerve with my writing as snarling fangs from those who fear the truth rear their ugly heads.

They make no sense, which is the first sign they fear your message and will try anything to shut you up.

Someone accused me of basically writing stories to grab the attention of people and make my case.

My jaw dropped, a smile cracked, and I thought to myself, No shit.

What writer puts words to a computer screen in hopes no one will read it?

These messages are usually followed by sharp arrows in the form of insults and nasty comments.

It makes no sense, which is the first sign that this is not a battle of flesh and blood; this is spiritual.

Evil lashes out when threatened.

The bodies it inhabits are just vehicles, places evil likes to hide as it turns its dirty deeds.

By the end of the day yesterday, I was done.

We each have our limit, and I had reached mine for the day.

This morning, as I sit before my creator, I ask Him not to allow me to focus on the slurs and lies of the depraved but to focus on His perspective.

I’m often surprised when people on the attack seem to know how to hit our vulnerable spaces.

That’s because it is not flesh and blood, but the darkness in them, and that evil knows just where to fire its darts.

The good news about these kinds of attacks is that you get better at warding them off, the more they zero in on your soft spots.

It’s like basic training.

You get punched enough, it doesn’t hurt as badly.

At some point, the words run off your back.

We have to know our purpose in life and not let the world or the haters define who we are or what we are doing.

God created me for a purpose, I know that purpose, but also know not to reveal, in words, the secrets of my soul.

Evil is waiting with a forked tongue to lash out at every weakness.

Do not expect the world to love you when you challenge its folly.

You stand firm, and you don't need to understand or explain your position.

Wisdom is rejected by those filled with hate.

Reserve those precious pearls for those who know what to do with them.

Proverbs 12:7 says, “The wrong are overthrown, and are not more, but the house of righteousness stands.”

Have a great Friday, and rather than shopping this weekend, consider taking a mini adventure - even if it’s just a walk in the woods - to refuel your soul.
