Choose To Be A Ralph

It really shows when you love what you do.

We arrived at the Alaska Airlines ticket counter to a gruff man who is either having a bad day or doesn’t like what he does.

It was written all over his face.

As we board we meet the inspiration for this blog.

Ralph is welcoming each person as the board at eight in the morning.

He’s not just greeting us he is engaging people.

He says “welcome brother”, “good morning how are you?”  And on and on.

We got bumped to First Class so he had our information.

We didn’t pay for it but fly enough we regularly get nice seats. Loyalty pays off.

Anyway, Ralph addresses my wife as “Lady Kathryn” and asks her in a humorous way if he should serve me as well.

This same service could be heard to each customer as he walked through the plane.

Ralph is a great reminder why loving what you do is so important.

The guy at the counter is probably counting down the minutes to his next break while Ralph is enjoying humanity and contributing to the preciousness of relationship.
