You Make No Sense

I’d like to have a serious conversation.

I’m glad those of you who support the No Kings movement got your moment. Free speech is the bedrock of our nation.

You got to tell the world and President Trump what you think of him without getting thrown in jail or killed.

If Trump were all the things you say he is, he would stop you.

If he were a dictator, he’d coerce the social media companies to throttle any content that had to do with your complaints about him.

Do these tactics sound at all familiar?

President Joe Biden, the man many of you supported, put into office and stood behind, was the very King you claim Trump to be.

You seem to fear authoritarian rule from Trump, but go along with it when it’s your guy.

We now know the Biden administration coerced social media companies to throttle or take down content that didn’t go along with the Biden narrative around COVID, russian collusion, the laptop, and much more.

You called it “misinformation,” but it ALL turned out to be true.

Biden and his followers screamed that Trump was taking away democracy, while it was Biden, manipulating the message, and many of you fell for it and still believe what a little research will confirm were lies.

You’re upset because the president is sending in National Guard Troops to calm the violence and clean up some of the major cities.

It worked in D.C., where even the mayor who was against Trump is now working with him on this.

Everywhere else, the left uses the courts to stop him.

Stop him from what?

Enforcing the law.

If you don’t like the laws, do what the rest of us have to do: use the proper channels to change them.

But this is not about the law; so please educate us, what is this really about?

Remember January 6th?

Trump tried to call in the National Guard ahead of time because he knew lots of people were coming to D.C.

Nancy Pelosi and the mayor of D.C. refused the help.

Let that sink in.

Trump is not a king, and from what we’ve seen from your past behavior with Biden, you aren’t against supporting kingly tactics as long as they come from your point of view.

Millions of you turned out yesterday.

It’s good to see our system of free speech still works.

But understand where we’re coming from.

When we tried to do the same thing, you tried to shut us down.

We didn’t do that to you.

So the reason huge numbers of us see your “No King” rallies as ridiculous is because you make no sense.

You don’t support what you call authoritarian rule, and yet when it’s your guy, it’s okay?

We The People don’t support ANY Authoritarian, tyrannical rule, period.

If we could agree on that, perhaps we could heal the wounds of our country.

But it seems you want to point fingers at us and call us divisive while you ignore the facts and refuse to look beyond your apparent hate of Trump and anyone who supports him.

How can we start a conversation when you won’t acknowledge the truth?

You can’t have it both ways.
