You Like My Questions Until You Don’t.

We live in crazy times.
We are now basically at war with Iran, something we were told would not happen.
Some see this as a holy war, the end times, the ushering in of Christ's coming.
But if you are a follower of Christ and do not believe that to be the case, look out.
The reason many of you follow me, I’ve been told, is because I ask hard questions.
I’m a journalist at heart and spent my career poking in places where “regular people” feared to tread.
My curiosity is a God-given gift.
I grew up where there was no such thing as a dumb question, only people to fearful to ask.
I’m not afraid to talk with people or give voice to folks, you might find crazy.
I learn the most from people who are told the world is flat but refuse to believe it and will sail to the very edge to find out.
I despise the status quo.
I don’t like being lied to.
When someone says they will do this or that, I expect them to follow through.
So, yes, I’m very familiar with disappointment.
I’m not a sheep and would rather die than blindly follow a leader.
I like and support Donald Trump, not because I trust him with my life, but because I think he’s got many of the right ideas and is not afraid to buck the system and challenge the way things are.
But if you think I’m going to sit back and keep my mouth shut when he does something I think is very wrong for our country, you’ve misjudged me.
Trump introduced me to “America First,” and I’m a believer.
The Middle East is not our war; it’s Israel’s.
I look around Montana and see families who can’t pay their electric bills, whose kids are struggling, schools falling apart, and I know the key to fixing these problems is money.
We are a rich nation, but when we send our dollars to all kinds of places, it seems to me that we are putting America last.
Our nation is falling apart culturally, economically, and spiritually.
Aspects of this new war make no sense to me.
It feels like, now that we’ve opened Pandora’s box, politicians are coming up with reasons to excuse the 180-degree turnaround we professed to need to Make America Great Again.
How does this do that?
I’ve had emails and comments from some of you questioning my belief in God, because we see this differently.
I’ve been called the same names, by some of you, that I’m called by the extreme left, what changed?
You called their talk hate, but when you do it, it’s something else?
Perhaps those of us who see this differently are not quite on target, and we may be wrong.
I pray and hope that I am wrong.
But what if you’re wrong?
It’s not the first time we’ve been told war is the answer, only to find out we’d been lied to.
It’s okay to be critical of me.
You should question me.
But you should also be questioning those in authority.
When you bring my relationship with God into the picture and tell me I’m going to Hell because I see something you may not see, the shame is on you.
Instead of picking each other to pieces, the very thing we dislike about the extremists, perhaps we should ask ourselves, What Would Jesus Do?
It’s called Grace.
Remember, Jesus is and was never afraid of those who questioned.
In fact, He was a master at turning on those who tried to fool Him.
Why are we afraid of those who question?
To those who think I’m going to Hell, honestly, in many ways, I think I’m already there.
This is not a battle between you and me; this is a war among the spirits of darkness in the spiritual realm.
