You Get What You Get

I wasn’t shocked to see this sign outside a Downtown Springfield business but it did take me back.
Eugene and Springfield look pretty clean up right now.
I’m sure that has a lot to do with the fact that the Eugene Marathon was last weekend and for some unknown reason the towns homeless issues seem to get whitewashed for public viewing.
I can only go off what my friends who still live here tell me and while many of the camps are gone, break-ins and bad behavior continues to plague many areas.
I experienced this just the other day when a transient woman verbally accosted a store manager and me with horrible comments.
I have a friend who was helping a homeless guy outside his business but when my friend showed up to work and found barf and poop on the front steps he told the guy to leave. The next day his front door and plate glass window were shattered. He has the vandal on video but won’t say anything publicly for fear haters will target him.
Yeh, the protectors of the lawless cover for the criminals and blame business owners and call it compassion. How messed up is that?
People ask “Why can’t the city do anything about it?” That’s the wrong question.
When I saw this sign I thought to myself we often reap what we sow.
If we as a community promote lawlessness perhaps the reward for such action is lawlessness. We are feeding the fire and some actually believe they are being kind.
You may not agree with the laws in this country.
You may not agree with the presidents plan to deport people who are here illegally.
But when you disregard the laws of the land, you will face the consequences.
If there is an unseen world and I do believe there is, I wonder if by establishing these sanctuary cities and states, and promoting lawlessness, you are inviting the powers of Hell to hold you hostage to crime.
In other words, by disobeying the law, you are actually creating a pathway for worse conditions.
There are consequences for all actions. That’s why balance is so important. We are leaving Eugene for Portland today.
Our visit has been awesome.
Saw lots of friends and met some new ones.
The thing we heard over and over again from people is how bad it’s getting around here and I was shocked by how many people told me they wished they could leave.
They miss Oregon, not this disturbed version created by politicians and ideologies of madness.
We saw the polished version.
But when you allow, insight and encourage lawlessness, you get what you get in return.
And unfortunately, evil seems to be winning…….For Now.
