We Need Leaders With Vision

Why Do Visionaries Scare Some?
If you want to control a society, rather than creating a vision, you bog it down with rhetoric and lies to keep the masses confused and divided.
As I speak with candidates, hope to be leaders, I find that a lack of vision is the biggest problem.
There are plenty of people who think they can lead, but not very many who can paint a picture of what the future could look like.
Obamana was great at creating a myth; the problem is, he never delivered.
Here we are years after his presidency, and his healthcare vision is a nightmare, and it did the exact opposite of what he promised.
When talking with a candidate for any public office, listen to what people say.
Do they want to be governor or a legislator, or is their vision to lead Oregon?
It makes a huge difference.
Plenty of people want to sit in the magical chair, but do they want to lead?
Without a clear vision, people tend to jump onto the latest craze or fall for what is easy and tickles the ears.
Real leadership and vision are more than pointing out what the last guy did while in office.
Voters don’t care what “Senator A or B” did; they want to know how you are going to correct mistakes and make their lives better.
If you can’t paint that picture, put down the paintbrush, step away from the easel, and stop.
True vision is given by our creator. You can feel the difference between His will and that of a person led by their own ambition.
It’s hard to get true visionaries into political power.
I was interviewing a candidate the other day.
The questions that landed in the comment section were filled with preconceived notions, rash judgment, and backbiting accusations.
I understand the frustration because many politicians lie or tell you what they think you want to hear rather than being honest with you.
But part of that is our fault.
We say we want leaders to tell us the truth, yet when they do, we verbally crap all over them.
We have become our own worst enemies, spawning the very type of candidates we say we hate.
I think Trump showed the voters something the liberals and fake candidates can’t turn around.
Whether you like him or hate him, he does what he says he’s going to do, and if you don’t like it, he doesn’t care because much of America appreciates someone who stands by their vision and convictions.
People will forgive a visionary for a lot of things.
But it will turn on the “public servant” who trips over his or her words.

There’s a housecleaning of sorts going on right now.
The fight is real.
But it is not just leaders we should blame.
The public has a fickle, unrealistic expectation of the elected, but fails to live up to the high standards themselves.
Perhaps it’s time we all humble ourselves and stop blaming others; instead, let's look within.
Our leaders are a reflection of those they lead.
