We Live In Exciting Times

Think back a year ago.

It’s truly amazing how much we’ve seen change, for the better, in a short amount of time.

We are no longer silent about the conditions of our large cities.

We are watching Washington, D.C., transform from a city of crime and trash to the vibrancy it should have been, serving as the capital of our nation.

People are talking again about inconsistencies in policy.

We have anti-timber groups fighting forest management, under the guise of protecting old growth, when their lawsuits destroy millions of acres of the trees they seem to worship.

Things don’t add up, and rather than turning off the information, you and I are digging deeper and finding hypocrisy.

Oh, how our education frightens those who once held the keys to the castle.

A few short years ago, we were being censored by the administration.

Orders from on high were taking away our right to question, as that same administration claimed to protect our democracy.

Oh, we’ve learned so much, and headlines reveal, almost daily, the corruption that was hidden from us.

Hope is back.

Not the political speech we hoped to hear from past administrations.

I’m talking hope with results.

America is activated to move forward.

We’re tired of double-talk, and if we don’t see results, we will respond.

This is not about a party platform; those come and go.

Parties don’t interest us; action is what we care about.

This is not, as the opponents of hope would like it to be, about worshipping one man and his mission.

We worship no man, just God.

No, this is about a leader saying he’ll do something, and it gets done.

Pretty simple stuff.

Oh, we do still have questions, yes, even for that one man.

We will continue to press for answers until we receive them.

But most of America is done with the past four years, done.

We will NOT go back to that America.
