Perhaps We Create Our Limitations!

The world is a complex and divisive place.
You can no longer refuse to pay attention, or you risk being washed out to sea.
The power struggle appears to be between the left and the right.
Don’t be fooled, it’s much deeper and darker than that.
This morning, I read this line that won’t stop circulating inside my head.
“He will do just as much for us as we let Him do in us.”
Think about that?
We are His creation.
He knows the plans He has for us.
He’s in the process of working those plans out for us.
The only limitation is based on us.
We are born with a heart, and that heart has a hole designed in it that is meant to be filled by God.
Life steps on us, people do bad things to us, and we start to fill that hole with something other than Him.
We find ways to numb our pain, pleasures that provide temporary solace, but that hole has a purpose, and all the garbage we allow to fill it, at some point, must be cleared so God can inhabit our lives.
God is the ultimate heart surgeon.
He understands what’s clogging our arteries and, over a lifetime, points them out, guides us to healing, and makes us into the men and women we are designed to be.
Each of us is uniquely qualified for so much more than we settle for.
Back to that hole in our heart.
The more debris we allow Him to take out of our hearts, the more He can do in us, with us, and for us.
It’s a partnership.
God cannot partner with sin.
Sin is what is usually substituted as our heart filler.
It has to come out, or He won’t come in.
The greatest men and women who ever lived were those willing to give God every corner of their heart so that He could fill it with Himself.
We are seeing a bright light shine on the earth, and that is because light always shines in the darkest places.
The world we live in is a dark and challenging place.
But remember, God knew this day would come.
We were each created to live in this moment.
If you look in the news, those under attack are the most willing to give it all.
The masses will try to preserve what was and fail.
Do not follow their folly.
It’s tempting and promises unity and prosperity, but it’s a lie.
Our search is for the truth, a truth that sets us free and cleans out our hearts so the Father can abide with us.
How much are we willing to give?
Tonight at 4 pm PT, we will be joined by the chief petitioners of an initiative to put the gas tax in Oregon on the ballot. They hope to have a tally of how many signatures they have.
Tune in for a live update on any of our social media channels.
