Walking A Tight Rope

We Shall Not Be Moved

God tells us in His word not to be moved and yet we live in a chaotic world that seems to move with every breath we take.

Everyday another headline attacking something we believe to be true.

Comments on social media designed to persuade us a certain direction.

A media with a motive aimed at shaping our thoughts, our desires and our ideologies. Do Not Be Moved.

Yet in the midst of all that we are told “Not to be moved.”

I think this is the secret to a good life.

There is a fine line between involvement and being consumed.

As we scroll through the headlines the moving parts of our culture scream at us to do this or that.

For the last five years or so, it felt like you had to move to stay ahead of the lies and misinformation.

Some people are in a panic right now. Give them space but not your attention. Hold firm to the truth and let the rest of it go. All of us have moments when we allow the mob to devour us. If you’re like me you take on the battles that don’t belong to you rather than understanding who is in charge and stay up front but just a bit detached so you don’t get sucked in.

Today Robert Kennedy goes before the senate wolves and they are out to get him. I think he is an important part of the new administration and needs to be confirmed. Even his cousin is littering the trail with gossip as she tries to derail his nomination and secure her place in the party of her family.

Let God have His way.

Walk in confidence that, while we still must speak up, let Him do the dirty work.

“God is in the midst of us, we shall not be moved.”
