Time To Scale Back?

Time To Scale Back?

I know it's frustrating to be counter-cultural.

Sounds so weird referring to conservatism as counter-culture, but it is.

We’ve put up with biased legacy media.

We’ve been canceled for our views.

We’ve watched our schools indoctrinate our children, and the list goes on and on.

It’s disgusting and needs to stop.

Now, we finally begin to see pushback in a big way.

The reversal started with Trump’s election.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination put a turbo engine into the movement.

Finally, people who canceled us are being canceled.

Not just their ideas, but the people themselves.

But wait a minute, is that the end goal?

Morality is making a comeback.

Decency matters to more Americans.

People are getting involved and speaking up.

All are needed and should be celebrated.

I’m no fan of Jimmy Kimmel.

Obviously, I'm not alone because his television ratings are in the toilet.

Kimmel has been digging his own grave for years, sucking up to the far left machine and verbally destroying anyone who disagrees.

When I heard his show was canceled over rude comments made about Charlie Kirk’s death, I thought, “Great, he deserves it.”

But when I went to bed last night, it started to bother me.

He’s an asshole and deserves what he gets.

He and those like him have hammered the conservative movement for years.

They’ve destroyed business, people, and turned America into an ideological disaster.

I think the turnaround or pendulum swing is a good thing.

I believe people who lean more right need to fight hard, keep the pressure on, and push hard for change.

But we know what it feels like to be canceled for what we believe or what we say.

We believe the marketplace of ideas will settle our disputes.

I think Kimmel would eventually put himself out of a job because he’s lousy at what he does, and his bias will catch up to him.

Maybe that’s what happened.

However, I’m concerned we might be walking a tightrope.

A line from the Bible keeps rising in my head, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

I will not be canceled ever again.

I’ve lost business because of the cancellation of left-leaning crazy people.

Their malice is nasty, and they seek to ruin me every chance they get.

But I’m reminded that evil never brings about good, but rather slips in so that it can blind us.

If we cancel them, are we any better?

Again, I love the direction America is turning.

Decency, morality, and all of that.

The far left has destroyed itself by using lawfare, lies, and the legacy media to do its dirty work.

Are we falling into a similar trap?

Charlie Kirk battled with facts, intelligence and never took away the voice of his opposition.

He gave them just enough rope to hang themselves.

He didn’t try to take away their rights to hate or make fools of themselves.

But if we take away others’ freedom, do we put our own freedom at risk?

It’s a slippery slope to Hell, and I’d hate to see us lose ground in the fight for America by doing unto others what we don’t want done to us.
