They Love To Hate

They Love To Hate

I posted a Proverb in a write-up that, this morning, sounds like a prophetic word from God.

People who hide behind fake names wrote a scathing article attacking me and making many false statements about a friend and me.

They did not do their homework and, in the process, slandered us both.

There is nothing we can do.

Nothing we really need to do.

The vermin, disguised as real people, scrape, claw, and lie, spreading gossip so they can feel like they matter.

They don’t care who they hurt; they don’t know the backstory or even the current one, as long as they get to feel like a big shot, for just a few minutes.

I do not pick my friends based on what others think.

I choose them based on the character of their heart at the present moment.

We all have a past that can haunt us if we let it.

We’ve all done things we are not proud of, and those of us willing to admit that, learn from it, and become better people.

But the folks who libel and slander their way to feeling important don’t give a damn about the facts; they do what they accuse me of doing, clickbait for a quick reaction.

The difference? I deal in facts; they thrive on gossip.

They get their 15 minutes of fame, and then return to their sad, miserable, pitiful life.

These are the same people who praise singers for slogans about love versus hate, when hate is the basis for everything they are.

Yes, they love to hate.

You can pick on me; I’ve done this for a long time.

Retaliation without documentation is part of the gig.

But don’t drag other people into your nightmare.

If you do a little digging, you might learn your premise is wrong.

You would learn, if you dug just a little, that you are wrong.

Your facts don’t add up.

You’re a fool.

But you don’t care about anything but that warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you try to make someone else look worse than your dull, depressing, demented existence.

To the sloppy writer, the fact-checker gods are watching.

I offer this verse from Proverbs.

I’d pay attention if I were you because Karma is a bitch.

It’s a warning, not from me, but someone much more powerful who hates it when you try to discredit His creation, His children, those he loves.

“A false witness does not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies does not escape.”

Laugh if you will, but justice has a way of tattling on the teller.

We know, you know, but more importantly, He knows, and He is a God of vengeance.
