The Paradigm Switch

I believe we are in for a giant reset of how our world works.

The United States is no longer the superpower that can or will set policy for the rest of the world.

Our stature is no longer what it was, although we are still quite powerful. I think this is a time when we need to stop being the world's police force and focus on our own hemisphere.

This war with Iran shows our strength but also our weaknesses.

We don’t have the finances or the will to do it all.

Americans are tired. We don’t want “Forever Wars”, we don’t want our kids dying for other nations, we want the neocons to shut up and turn our focus from control to management of this great country.

We’ve gotten ourselves into a mess.

We are over our heads, and yet, as the country that has been the Superpower, we will have a difficult time reimagining what we can and will be.

I hope we will be fine in the end, but that’s up to us as a people.

Will we manage this change or fight it?

The choice is ours.

I am not the only one who feels this inevitable change already underway.

Some will go kicking and screaming, but the masses already understand or are ready for the madness to end.

We see what denial hides from those who fear change.

I see many claiming God’s Will in what is happening, and I’m starting to agree.

Where we disagree is on what that “Will” is.

Struggle is the way we change.

We don’t learn until we lose.

We get haughty when things go our way, most of the time.

And when we allow corruption, manipulation, and lies to crack our moral foundation, God sends in the repair squad.

I see other nations around the world standing up for truth, rethinking right and wrong, and taking a stand against evil.

If we turn from our wicked ways and focus on our hemisphere, the future can be bright.

I’m not excited about the process, not at all, but if this is God’s Will, and I don’t for sure, it will be the right thing.

I learned a long time ago not to give out my sources because if I do, the source becomes the story, and the topic is lost in a debate designed to silence.

You can’t silence what is about to happen.

As some celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus this weekend, I, too, am in awe of what He did. He came to set you and me free.

He loves us so much, He won’t allow us to be smothered under the cloak of fear and lies.
