The Heat Is On

How Do We Bring The Temperature Down?

It’s pretty crazy out there right now.

Lots of finger-pointing and accusations flying.

At a Senate hearing yesterday, Democrat Senator Dick Durbin from Illinois said, “Let’s be clear. Republicans are not Nazis… Our political opponents are not our enemies; we are all Americans, and we should be working together to keep the American people safe and protect their constitutional rights.”

One wonders whether Kirk would still be alive today if the Hitler rhetoric had stopped months ago.

I hear cries for unity and temperature reduction, but I wonder if it’s really possible?

Can a culture go too far to negotiate its way out of a mess like this?

Some of us scratch our heads as we hear the rhetoric, calling for an end to rhetoric.

For years, we’ve listened as the media regurgitated stories, many of which turned out to be out-and-out lies, and now, regular Americans are the rhetoric producers?

We’re not stupid people.

We woke up, and you are scared to death.

I see comments on my social media that accuse me of trying to divide people.

We are already divided, have been for years.

Education is not indoctrination.

Information is power, and you know, the more we have, the less you get.

I know, in the past, belittling people you disagree work was an effective way to gain and keep control of the message.

But you lost that a long time ago, and Americans are onto you.

From my point of view, our country is so off track that it needs a major overhaul.

In my opinion, America was headed in the wrong direction and is finally turning around.

It’s easy for the captain of the ship, when he sees the vessel going the opposite direction that he wants, to all of a sudden want to compromise.

But that ship has sailed far into the distance.

Culture is nervous right now.

People who once didn’t care or turned the other way can no longer ignore what’s going on.

Cultural rhetoric is promoting violence and needs to stop.

But it won’t.

Because the rhetoric repeaters can’t or won’t look in the mirror and acknowledge they did this.

It’s easy to stir up a mess, and when people turn on you, try to blame them for your actions.

But we’re not buying.

The enemy is not Democrats or Republicans, it’s liars.

Heat is used to bring the dross to the surface, allowing for the refinement of gold.

Heat is also used to destroy germs to keep us healthy.

Perhaps the only way to bring civility and order back to America is with heat.

We should not stoop to the tactics of culture.

All we need is a little hot water and soap, along with the knowledge of how to use them effectively.
