The Great Awakening

The Great Awakening Is Upon Us

ree

Something is happening.

People who were once satisfied with silence are waking up.

As a news reporter, I observed, for years, the squeaky wheels, manipulating processes, creating a one-sided conversation.

For instance, the Eugene City Council would make a decision, and if the loudest mouths didn’t like that decision, they’d push and shove until councilors folded, leaving the general public scratching their heads, wondering, “How did that happen?”

A new saying sprouted that went like this: “Only in Eugene.”

Weirdness became trendy and cool as it quietly destroyed the fabric of the community.

More people felt alienated from the process, and over time, the silent majority gave up.

The overreaction to COVID did us all a big favor.

People would shun you in the grocery store for not wearing a mask.

Neighbors called the police on neighbors if they saw what they determined were too many cars in the driveway.

Oregon’s governor grew more power hungry as each week she determined which counties could open for business and which had restrictions.

We had the Biden administration preaching democracy, yet taking it away as it forced people to get the COVID vaccine.

Here we are, days from a new 2026, and so much has changed.

The people are back in charge.

Those who had given up are open and engaged, not just in the conversation, but in taking action to turn our nation around.

As this great awakening deepens, all Hell will come against us.

The cultural monitors refuse to give up power and will fight to keep what territory they’ve owned for decades.

You recognize the desperation when their arguments turn to name-calling because they don’t have the facts to back up their theories.

The real panic set in as people started leaving their party in droves, because it’s wish list and theirs are heading in polar opposite directions.

Over the weekend, I had dozens of messages from folks ready to speak out against this group or that.

Silence is safer, but being quiet is no longer an option.

Plus, the public sees the loudmouths only hold power if you let them.

The names they call us don’t matter because they’ve overused and misused terms like racism, clickbait, troll, and all of the “phobes” to the point that those words have no meaning.

The sting is gone.

We must take back the conversation.

Don’t allow them to make it about a party.

I recently saw the opponents of free speech trying to twist the immigration issue to hide the illegality of it all.

That used to work, but we’re on to them.

There’s a growing number of us left of center, right of center, and right in the middle who no longer care about the farthest left or the most extreme right.

We care about one thing, truth.

And we are smart enough, learned enough, and brave enough to fight for it.
