So You Have Enemies? Good

You Have Enemies? Good.

It is strange being back in Oregon after living in Montana for three years.
Oh, we come back three or four times a year to visit clients, friends, family and to work on “The Truth About Timber” project.
We miss the green, but not the rain you get here to have all that green. There is always a cost isn’t there?
I’m tempted not to mention the next thing we notice because it always creates a firestorm of comments but I’m also not going to censor what I think to appease my haters, if I do that they win.
This is no time for holding back, not anymore.
We can’t help but notice the masks. In less than 24 hours I’ve seen more masks in Oregon than I have in Montana in three plus years. Don’t blame allergies, I grew up here no one wore masks for allergies. It’s a post pandemic fashion accessory unique to the Northwest.
And yes, you have the right to do what you need to do but we also have the right to roll our eyes.
I heard the governor of Illinois, who happens to be running for president in 2028, whipping up Democrats calling for mass protests and “disruption” for the next three years.
I think when I was growing up we called that a sore loser.
What happened to all the “working together” talk from the left?
Remember when they told us Trump would never concede or follow the law? Yeh, I find people to the left often accuse their opponents of doing what they do.
We had a fair election and Trump won.
Dems have the right to disagree but it’s becoming ridiculous, they just can’t seem to swallow the fact that they lost.
Being back you can feel the tension in the air.
When you live in it, you get used to it. When you get away from it, you can’t help but notice it when you come back.
Ask anyone who’s left.
On my social media I hear from thousands of frustrated Oregonians who want their state back.
But Oregon is taken over by an ideology that seems not to care about fairness, freedom, or the voiceless.
It’s all about power.
For decades many of us bit our tongues and let crazy have its way but now we’ve seen crazy has no limits and is now into the land of insane.
It’s not cute, clever or community…it’s messed up.
It’s time to stand firm, stand tall and stand against what has destroyed Oregon.
I know, I don’t live here it’s none of my business. Well actually it is my business. This is where I’m from and like many of us who leave, we want what’s best for Oregon and can fight from afar if we want to and we do.
You don’t take the true Oregon out of the Oregonian.
A guy on a podcast said something the other day that stuck with me.
“You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.” That is a quote from Victor Hugo 1886 in an article he wrote called “The Republic.”
You can spend your life worrying about who likes you, who agrees with you and who hates you, or you can spend your life speaking up for truth, justice and Freedom. I’ll choose the latter. And the power holders in Oregon know people are done which, I think, is why they are pushing so hard right now….so push back….To Be Continued.
