Oregon, You Really Need To Get Back Control

I just a watched a news story about the Governor of Oregon finally deciding the extradite the woman accused of ripping off the Eugene Weekly.

I”m not fan of the “Weak-ly” but the woman broke the paper and she did wrong.

I have to laugh a little because the very paper that always endorses any Democrat for any office, probably during Kotek’s campaign, endorsed her.

I guess Karma is a thing.

That’s another story.

If you look at the increased taxes, the bill’s on water rights, fire maps, the gun laws that are simply nuts and the list goes on and on, Oregon is a crazy place run by a majority party that’s out of it’s mind.

I would love to hear what you think needs to happen to straighten out the state.

To start with I think the mail in elections have to stop.

If you look back, a lot of the problems started right there.

You could still have vote by mail for some who need it, like we do in Montana, but for the general population make it a polling place again.

Second, require valid I.D.

Who doesn’t have I.D. these days?

The arguments against it are as lame as the current state administration.

Next I’d get the Oregon Education Association out of the governors office.

That organization is the most corrupt and has its tentacles so far into the workings of the running of the state it’s disgusting.

Next, you need to redistrict the state and do it in a fair and balanced way.

For years, the ruling party has moved lines, changed districts, hedged here and there, to water down conservative votes by putting more liberal voters in each district.

Hence: A super majority.

And my last idea for now goes back to the people. Look at how many people in Oregon are registered to vote and then look at how many don’t even bother to get out and do it. I know you think your vote is useless but all that does is give the crazies the opportunity to take over, and they have.
