Look At The Numbers

If You Could See The Numbers

Kathy and I were out yesterday.

Didn’t pay much attention to social media.

Needed a break.

When I checked in last night, I was shocked by over half a million views on an article, hundreds of new follows and thousands of comments to an article I wrote in the morning titled “ Warning To The Extreme.”

If you pay attention to the headlines and the legacy media, it’s easy to get discouraged and believe the whole world has gone mad.

It’s not true.

But read between the lines.

Even Oregon’s Governor sees the craziness after a protest in Eugene turned into a riot.

She’s warning her followers to bring the temperature down. Why?

Because the general public, you and I, are fed up with their tactics and their destruction.

I find that the louder, nastier, and more aggressive people become, the less they truly have to offer in terms of truth.

I couldn’t care less if the aggressors agree with me, but why are they so hell-bent on you and me agreeing with them?

They are obsessed with forcing us to agree with them.

That tells me a lot.

Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV): "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

That verse is packed with insight and information.

Words lose their meaning, and rough edges are softened to make palatable, tainted information and illegitimate arguments.

Kathy and I went to the new “documentary” about Melania Trump.

We were curious to see what it was about.

It was a nice day, and the 2 pm showing was so we thought we’d have no trouble getting in.

When we got there, the theater was almost sold out.

Helena, Montana, is not a hotbed of conservatives, but people turned out in great numbers to see the film.

Kathy and I are movie buffs.

This is not a great documentary.

It was interesting to see behind the scenes, but this is a great example of why people in public life should stick to what they do best, not try to produce a movie.

My point being, there are a lot of people out there who don’t listen to the press or the opposition and will support whom they want.

Putting our trust in any power other than that of our maker is insane.

People make mistakes.

He has a perfect plan.

But we also need to draw lines that we won’t cross.

The keyword in that last sentence is “We” draw the lines, not the loud voices screaming accusations and slander our way.

Not those trying to convince themselves, by convincing us, they are wrong.

We will not move.

Actions speak louder than words, and if you have to riot and destroy, it tells me your message is weak.

Have a great day.

“Be still (not too still) and know that He alone is God.
