Land Of The Brave, Again

Home Of The Brave

In the national anthem is a beautiful line that goes “for the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

If you turn that around the message is you can’t have a land that’s free without bravery.

That’s been the problem in America for the past several decades.

Weakness twisted its way into our culture making mice of men and standing up for one’s beliefs something done quietly….because it’s personal.

What a crock.

Now is the time to stand up for America and I don’t mean whisper.

We became a place so afraid of offending or being offended our language became oatmeal and our foundation loose gravel.

America became more about global concerns, which we do need to pay attention to, but we also need to be proud of the place we live and fight for her first.

Some will spit out their morning coffee at the thought of what I just said and to me that’s what’s wrong about America.

We have our issues but we are still the greatest nation with the most opportunity in the world…..that’s a good thing and yet our institutions teach the opposite.

Opportunity is what brings immigrants to the United States. They want a better life and hundreds of thousands do it legally, the way the rest of the world does immigration. Now, thanks to a new administration legal immigration is a thing again.

I see a groundswell of support in America for bringing back the brave.

As we’ve watched over the past decade or longer, it doesn’t take much to rob us of our freedom and it’s hard to get it back.

Those who don’t want to celebrate America, that’s fine, that’s what freedom is all about. But don’t spit on us because we chose to do the opposite. You can believe as you wish but don’t try to convince us you are right, just be happy you live in a place where you can live as you choose.

The pushback is on. The time is now. You can scream division and all the other typical rhetoric used to try to silence people. We’ve got your number. We understand the game and we are brave enough to play it now.

Which is why you push harder.
