It Really Does Matter

It Really Does Matter

ree

You can have the heart of a lion and the tenderness of a lamb, even when the world tells you it’s not possible.

Culture aims to limit our expectations by whispering words of discouragement and flat-out lies about what’s possible.

People seem hopeless as they are easily sucked into a commercialized sense of what it means to have success.

We just got back from visiting family in Portland, Oregon.

There are many beautiful aspects of the city, but its greatness is smothered, for me, by its limited space, traffic, and hustle and bustle to keep up with the Joneses.

After a few days, I feel trapped.

My head hurts, my soul feels empty, and I just want to find some open space to clear my head.

On the flight home last night, I was watching reels on my social media.

I get hooked on those talent shows where people tell their tough stories and then sing, or play the piano, as if God Himself had orchestrated it all.

It’s dark in the plane, so no one sees my tears.

I guess it’s my version of a Hallmark movie. LOL

This morning, I looked out the window from our home in Montana, and all I saw was wide-open space and the big sky.

I pulled up my newsfeed, and stories that make the headlines mean nothing to the average American.

From gender surgery on kids to money stolen by people living in our country illegally, it’s as if the media and the party it represents are trying to set the agenda and convince the rest of us we are wrong.

WE ARE NOT WRONG

But we do see it very differently.

What really matters to most Americans is truth, freedom, and their ability to pursue happiness as they see it.

You can believe what you want.

But don’t shove your ideology down our throats because our gag reflex is stronger than ever, and we know, we don’t have to agree and can speak out for or against anything.

Yes, anything, and so can you.

What scares those who disagree with us is that for so long we remained silent because our opposition used cultural monitors to destroy those who dared to challenge cultural speak.

We lost clients, business, community standing, friends, family, and our voices.

Those “monitors” no longer hold the power.

They wore out the meaning of words, so now, their labels fall flat on the ground and leave no impression at all.

There is a price to pay for ignorance, and America is paying it right now.

Proverbs 28:2 “Because of the transgression of a land, Many are its rulers. But by a man of understanding and knowledge, Right is maintained.”

Right is not a political ideology or a party, but instead about doing what is good and wise in the eyes of our creator.

I don’t think God cares about left or right, and many of us agree, but He does care about righteousness, truth, and our freedom to choose.

What we do, what we say, and what we allow, really does matter.

The veil has been lifted from the eyes of many.

You can’t unsee what has been shown to you.

Proverbs 28:1

“The wrong shall flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”
