I'm Losing Hope For Portland

I’m Losing Hope For Oregon

ree

I’m truly losing hope for Oregon, especially Portland.

We’ve been here for almost a month, and what we’ve seen saddens us greatly.

We’re from here and don’t recognize the place anymore.

The first step to recovery is understanding you have a problem.

Portland doesn’t acknowledge anything is wrong, so how can it find the help it needs?

In fact, many say there is no problem.

We used to call that denial.

We’ve had numerous strangers, in grocery stores and restaurants, approach us and thank us for speaking the truth online.

They are starving for the world to see what’s going on in the wilted Rose City; they want their voice heard, but the majority continues to ignore the obvious and dig a deeper hole, and not just mussel the opposition but make their lives miserable. I think the far left likes to call that “tolerance”.  LOL

I encourage you to take four minutes to read the article posted at the top.

It describes exactly what’s going on.

If you ask many in the suburbs of Portland if downtown is a warzone, they will tell you no and scoff at you.

Yet, as an outsider, who isn’t numb to what’s normal and what is not, it’s quite clear.

Portland is like the eccentric aunt who everyone pretends is normal, but knows she needs to be institutionalized.

Most Portlanders are numb to the misery on their streets.

They aren’t shocked to see folks shooting up on the street corner, yelling at passerby’s or protests that sometimes turn into riots.

It’s become part of the culture.

I know, that is so sick, so sad, and so appalling.

I get it, when you allow your leaders to destroy the charm of your city, and you feel so virtuous allowing them to do so, how do you go back and admit you were wrong?

Not only wrong, but part of the problem because you did nothing.

We’re in the Portland area for another week, and we’re ready to go back to Montana.

The people in Portland are warm, and we love our son, his wife, and our new grandson, but the chaos is overwhelming.

We can manage the traffic, although truthfully, it drives us crazy.

I’m sure you get used to it, but it’s awful.

The higher prices, especially gas, add up quickly.

But the worst part is you feel like you’re walking on pins and needles.

Few are willing to state the obvious.

There seems to always be an excuse.

We lived like this in Eugene/Springfield for decades and see clearly how stifled we were, now that we live in Montana.

On Tuesday at 5 pm, our guests on Get Real With Rick Dancer, the podcast, will be Senator Bruce Starr and Representative Ed Diehl to talk about plans to put the recent tax increase on the ballot so Oregonians can kill it.

On Wednesday at 5 pm, we travel to rural Oregon to visit a barbershop where clients are coming in to talk with us live about how they feel about Oregon.

Before some of you try to shred me to pieces, I remind you I love this state and want to see what’s best for all of you.

You will slap me with words to leave, go home if you don’t like it, and I will, because I don’t.

But you can’t silence my voice or any of the other folks who see what’s really going on, with your anger and your words.

It doesn’t work anymore.

Your ideology is weak and carries no weight.

Your message is falling flat as the truth reveals your ignorance.

As we, yes, we the people, will continue to fight, and Oregon, in the end, I hope, will win.

Warning: Other states and cities had better pay attention to what’s going on in Portland because ignorance seems to be easily transmissible. It starts quietly and slowly infects the entire town. Oh, and those dumb masks aren’t going to protect you.
