I Can't Help It I Have Questions

I Can’t Help It I Have Questions

I’m having trouble with the current situation in the Middle East.

I want to be supportive.

I hear cries that we’ve got to stop Iran from building a nuclear weapon.

But I don’t hear a lot of people questioning the narrative.

Even the goons in the legacy media seem to be regurgitating what people want to hear.

Fear is a great way to motivate people but I’m not a big fan of fear.

I don’t think it’s a healthy or accurate way to get people onboard.

Maybe it’s the truth, I don’t know, but how do you find the truth without asking hard questions.

They say we destroyed what we were looking for….has anyone asked any specifics?

How do we know?

They say this move is to protect us and spending millions or maybe billions is worth it.

Is it?

What is the real threat?

I’m not saying there isn’t one I just want to ask the question and get an answer that makes sense.

I look around at the country I love and live in and see a lot of problems that could be solved with those dollars.

But if I ask that question I will probably get the same nasty comments from conservatives who think what we did is worth it, as I do from my liberal folks who hate when I speak positively about Trump.

I do support Trump.

I honestly don’t know what to think of all of this and am processing it daily.

I give him the benefit of the doubt but still have this urge to ask more questions.

What I do know is the lack of hard questions and open discussion about the “Why” bother me.

I remember the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq that were a lie.

I remember how quickly we, yeh me too, jumped behind Bush and his bullshit.

I want to trust Trump and assume what he did was not his first choice but what he felt to be his best choice.

But I can’t do that if it means no hard questions.

Look what we as a nation did when we failed to question COVID.

Look how we ignored the warning signs of the collapse of the last administration.

Both happened because we didn’t ask enough questions.

I don’t want to see that happen again.
