Hold Fast To His Dear Hand

I’m working on my sleep.
I started tracking it about a month ago to determine what wakes me in the night and what whispers in my ears, keeping me from going back to sleep.
Early this morning, I awoke, the usual cause being a sixty-six-year-old man needing to take a restroom break.
You, younger men, may laugh, but your time is coming.
As I tried to go back to sleep, worries of tomorrow and months down the road flooded my mind.
I said in a whisper, God knows, I don’t, be still, and I was.
Sleep overwhelmed me, thank you, God.
I got up to read my “Streams in the Desert” daily devotional, and it spoke of the same thing.
I belong to God.
I should not look to what might happen, but instead remind myself that I belong to Him, He was with me yesterday, and is still with me today.

Plenty is going on in the world that demands our attention.
It’s a fine line between paying attention and being consumed.
Kathy and I haven’t ridden our mountain bikes since last August.
Yesterday the sun was out, temperatures in the high 50’s, and we were thousands of feet in the Elkhorn Mountains, riding.
We anticipate some big changes coming this Spring.
It’s easy to start taking on the burdens that belong to God, because afterall, He so desperately needs our help. LOL.
I see all the craziness, the lies, and the propaganda in our world.
Sometimes it’s overwhelming.
Evil will always nip at our heels.
Corruption is only safe when it hides in the shadows.
The darkness needs just a small light to expose its coming and going.
Here’s what I read, and I'm offering it to you as comfort.
“Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow. The same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow, and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace.” Streams In The Desert”
Have a great Sunday.
