He Came To Save All Of Us

I’ll be honest, I’m not a big fan of Easter. Now, before you jump down my throat let me explain.
God commands us not to combine His celebrations with that of the pagans and Easter is the celebration of the goddess of fertility blended with Christ dying on a cross.
I think what Jesus did for us is far too important to blend with anything.
So, hunt for eggs and eat chocolate bunnies no judgement.
But for me, I can’t mix fertility with the single most important act of love that was ever done for me.
Does that make sense?
Well it’s what I believe.
So let’s move forward.
We are blessed people.
We are living in a time when the line between good and evil is no longer blinded by culture.
It’s an obvious divide, for some.
It’s a gap that grows larger as we learn more.
30 years ago, I remember listening to pastors speak of a day when right would be wrong and wrong, right.
We are there.
Culture is a strong adversary.
Propagada its teeth.
Bite and chew long enough, lies sound like truth and people will follow.
You know you’re hitting a nerve when the chewing intensifies.
Evil has no reason to torment its kind.
Evils enemy is the truth.
Truth seekers must be destroyed.
My personal email is the new land of the attack.
To push publicly brings criticism.
There are too many of us out here with open eyes.
Evil hides in the dark places.
Jesus died on a cross to set us free.
He came to unveil the crookedness of the world by bringing light to the darkness.
Darkness hates the light.
Darkness despises freedom.
Darkness twists words to blind people.
On this day we celebrate the resurrection of Christ we must remember not to hate people who hate us but instead focus the fact that the saving grace of Christ is for everyone.
Jesus’ crucifixion ripped a veil in half and started, in the unseen world, the biggest battle our planet has ever experienced.
It’s ugly, it’s hard and as eyes are opened the stench of corruption is greater than any of us imagined.
But we were created for a time like this.
Not to save anyone but fight for the freedom for those who despise us.
Remember what happened to Christ and what He chose to do for mankind…despite the way we treated Him.
I used to think “pick up your cross and follow me” were just words on a page in the Bible.
I’m starting to understand the depth of that statement.
This is real, too real.
Fear not.
