Happy Birthday Oregon

Valentine’s Day is Oregon’s birthday.

It’s not easy to celebrate when you have so much turmoil and divisiveness in the state.

But hold on, there’s a not-so-quiet revolution going on that is not party-related but based on what Oregon was founded on: common sense.

My message boards and emails are filled with people who are fed up and ready to talk.

Some can’t speak publicly, and others, while hesitant, are taking the bold step and fighting back.

Over a quarter of a million of you shocked your governor and her party loyalists in the legislature when you collected enough signatures to blow a hole in their plan to implement the largest tax increase in Oregon history.

Now, they are trying to circumvent the process by going, again, against the will of the people by attempting to put the gas tax on the May ballot to protect their party’s control.

Democrats in the legislature are tone-deaf and arrogant.

They think they know what’s best and that you and I are stupid.

As they walk the capital halls, sneaking and undermining the democracy they pretend to hold so dear, the people of Oregon are turning on them.

Their lying tricks and disregard for the voter will be the destruction of their kingdom. (queendom)

Although everything is still up in the air, Oregon has reason to celebrate this birthday in a big way.

And we have the Democrats to thank for that.

Your dirty deeds woke up the people of Oregon.

Your true colors caused multitudes to exit your party, and they aren’t coming back.

You have done this to yourself.

When the clouds are finally lifted and the results of your manipulation exposed, the shocked look on your faces will be worth celebrating.
