Don't Let Them Rob You Of Your Peace

Stop, If It Robs You Of Your Peace

I woke up thinking about the condition of the world we live in.
Like everything, it’s a mixed bag.
I like that we have a president willing to take to the streets of DC and see for himself what’s happening.
Yes, it’s a public relations move, but I think he also wants to show America that he is not afraid.
I can’t imagine a past president doing the same thing.
You can hate Trump, but if you don’t have TDS, you will admit he’s a man of the people, not a puppet of the deep state.
I think about the situation in the Middle East, and I’m torn.
I’m not against Israel, but I don’t think we should be propping them up with billions of dollars, and if they want to get into a war, that’s on them; we should stay clear.
Last night on our podcast, we talked with a man who is leading the effort to recall Oregon’s horrible governor.
What torments me this morning, or tries to, is the fact that laziness and apathy are what got us to this point.
You’ve got a ton of uninformed people electing idiots, over and over again, and those same people wonder why things aren’t getting any better.
To be part of a community means action. You can’t be part of something and do nothing, and yet look how many people blindly suck off the system, say they want change, but do little to help make it.
Balance is so important, and I’m so terrible at it.
I’m, by nature, an all-or-nothing kind of man.
It’s hard to be aware and concerned and not obsess over it.
Then, in a tiny corner of my soul, a voice from the past says to me, “Rick, if it robs you of your peace, stop.”
That doesn’t mean disengage, but it means let up on the gas pedal.
If you’d like to watch the interview on recalling Oregon’s governor, you will find it here.
Now, go enjoy your weekend.
And trust that God is in control.
Oh, and pray that His will will be done.
