Do You Feel It? Thank You COVID

I’m starting to think the best thing that ever happened to us as a culture is COVID.
I know, I’m an outspoken critic of how this phenomenon was orchestrated by evil people and sheepish followers.
Before COVID, people were complacent and lazy.
We watched as our freedoms and morals were slowly slipping away but we were numb to it.
It was gradual, planned and very effective.
The harsh over-reaction to COVID did one of two things.
It either quickly opened the eyes of the beholder or it allowed blinders to cloud peoples sensibilities and vision.
There was very little middle ground.
Teams were distinct and dark lines drawn to define where you stood.
The left has always been loud and forceful with its ideology. I’m not being critical that’s a compliment. They know how to manipulate a message and they tend to stick together even if the road to winning is questionable and less than righteous.
The right, well, they’re more conservative, not just in their ideology but with their approach. They’re more careful and adopt a wait and see attitude. The result: If you wait to see you’ve waited too long and that’s what happened pre-covid.
The reaction to COVID ripped the blinders off the eyes of both left and right leaning freedom lovers.
Places like Oregon use to be havens for progressive thinking but the results of such foolishness are exposing themselves.
People are being taxed to death, their water rights threatened, their leaders are out of touch and people are turning on them.
I think the majority leadership see’s it. A shift that scares the shit out of them is turning on them as they rush to pass far reaching legislation in a last ditch effort to hold onto power.
From my POV, Oregonians are seeing it.
But even more important is they are speaking up and rejecting loud and clear the madness of tyrannical rule on steroids.
They are in shock by all the taxes, “fees” and rules coming out of Salem and like a freight train traveling at 75 miles an hour, there is nothing to stop it.
COVID opened our eyes.
I dare our leaders to ever try that again.
But what they fail to understand their thirst for power caused them to push too hard and for way too long.
The sleeping giant is awakened by their lust for control and in the end that will be the death of them and the ideology of madness they represent.
