Lawsuit To Stop Democrats’ Manipulation (Bill 1599)
Democrats in the Oregon legislature and the governor may have overplayed their hand.
They’re trying to usurp the will of the people by changing, from November to May, a vote to repeal a gas tax passed by the Democrats in the legislature.
They have excuses, but the reason is simple.
Over a quarter of a million Oregonians told them they don’t like a Democrat forced gas tax, and they want to vote on it in November.
Many of those Democrats and their governor are up for election in November and don’t want their names on the same ballot with the repeal.
They know, chances are, voters will look at the tax repeal and the Democrats, put two and two together, and boot their ass out of Salem.
Democrats passed Bill 1599, which puts the repeal on the May ballot.
Gubernatorial candidate, and one of the main forces behind the repeal says that next week the courts will decide.
