Chaos Versus Christ

The pastor who founded the church in Minnesota that was attacked by rioters last Sunday was on a podcast this past week.
He was profound in what he had to say about the church, the parishioners, and the attackers.
Christianity is under attack in this country. That is the bottomline
This is not left or right, this is about the same thing we’ve watched throughout history: the attack on Christ.
If those protesters had done what they chose to do, at a mosque or synagogue, they would have no support, none.
In fact, as I write those words, most of you know, it would not happen in either place, period.
The evil screaming and lies spewing from the rioters’ mouths during the altercation and in interviews afterward are haunting.
The spewing of twisted facts and accusations is harassment and violent, and people would not have put up with this a few years ago.
And yet, “Christians” from around the country are flying to Minnesota this weekend to support the attackers.
From the beginning of the fall, evil forces strive to create chaos and fear.
They take the truth, twist it just enough to make it sweet as honey, and then feed it to the masses.
There is only one answer to the chaos devouring our nation right now, and that is Christ.
I’m reading through Proverbs 24 right now, and verses are popping up that speak great truth into the lies swirling over the planet.
“Do not envy evil men, nor desire to be with them. For their heart plots to ravage, and their lips talk of trouble.”
“He who plots to do evil is called the master of evil plots. The purpose of folly is sin, and the scoffer is an abomination to men. If you falter in the day of distress, your strength is small.”
We are finally beginning to see a calling out of evil forces.
For years, we watched as our courts were used to cover for the manipulators.
Oh, that’s still happening, but we are seeing some right rulings, and the truth is coming out.
Proverbs 24: 23
“These also are for the wise: It is not good to show partiality in right-ruling. He who says to the wrong, “You are righteous,” people curse him.”
One of the lies our opponents use to try to discredit the taking back of our nation is that you and I are mesmerized by President Donald Trump.
But it is they who hang on his every word and follow him closely.
You and I may appreciate his leadership, his ability to lead, and his fearlessness to fight like a businessman rather than a political hack.
But it’s they who can’t shake him and seem enamored by his every word.
Evil often deflects truth by adding just a touch of it to the argument.
A little unleavened destroys the entire reciepe but it takes time for the results to show.
By the time an uninformed public consumes it, it’s too late.
Still, I find great reason for hope.
There is a groundswell in this country of people who don’t give a damn about the right or left.
We care about truth.
Do not allow evil to define who we are, what we care about, or what the battle is about.
This is chaos versus Christ, and we know it.
The chaos is unnerving, but we know it’s also part of evil’s plan to capture the attention of a world gone mad.
This pastor said something I keep reminding myself of.
Part of the way we fight evil is with joy.
Do not allow the messengers of darkness to rob you of your peace.
We must smile more, engage when called, and stand back as the arrows aim.
Proverbs 24:19,20
“Do not fret over evil-doers, and do not envy the wrong, for there is no future for the evil-doer. The lamp of the wrongdoers is put out.”
