People Are No Longer Afraid

As I stood there watching the presidents speech to congress and the nation I thought to myself, people are no longer afraid. Oh, you will still be scorned for saying good things about Trump, but the majority is over it and just wants an America that works.
Trump went toe to toe with Democrat policies and the problem for the left is he has the momentum, the proof and the people to back him up.
Trump did a masterful job (or his speech writers did) of putting together, not just a speech but a production to lay his case out to the world.
It was impressive to see the lineup of his cabinet coming into the house chambers and the people he brought in to put a face to the issues afflicting our nation, were amazing.
When, in the past, has anyone really given a damn who was on the presidents cabinet?
For many of us it feels like Trump has made us part of the process whereas the last administration seemed to hide everything it did and when caught, lie about it as if we are stupid.
There were some embarrassing moments for the Democrats as one of their members had to be escorted out of the chambers because his hate got the best of him.
I’m certain much worse has happened, at least there wasn’t a duel to the death of anyone.
But Trump pulled out all the stops. I bet after all his opposition has tried to do to him over the years, it must have felt good to have a months worth of proof and a large portion of the nation finally backing you and your plan.
The president stood there, looked his opponents in the eye, and seemed to enjoy hitting their buttons. At one point he called out one of his biggest opponents Elizabeth Warren and the room lit up.
I’m sure today the legacy media and some of the left will try to play the “Trump Is Mean Card” and some will buy it.
But I think a larger portion the country saw a guy stand up for us, the nation and saw his kindness in the stories he told and the people he brought in to honor in front of the world.
By the response I see on social media the hate of Trump is no longer threatening to most people. We don’t care if you scorn us for sticking up for someone we see doing a great job. We are not MAGA’s as you see it. We are not “Trumpers” as you like to disparagingly refer to us. We are people sick of the lies, sick of manipulation, sick of being treated like we don’t matter. We found our voice and understand what not to do if we want to keep it.
We are Americans who simply want what’s best for our neighbors and our families and refuse to buy the messaging put out by pundits and media.
We are simply Americans who truly want to make America great again…what’s so wrong with that?
