Oregon’s early lumber pioneers were huge risk takers.
We see what these companies became but often don’t see what it took to get to where they are today.
The story of Starfire Lumber in Cottage Grove is about risk taking, but not just the risk it took to get the mill up and running, but also the risk it takes to make sure the mill stays open and employee’s make it to retirement.
